Dr. Case is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and medical school graduate of the only military medical school in the United States, Uniformed Services University. He completed his orthopedic surgery training at the San Diego Naval Medical Center after serving 3 years as a ship medical officer in Long Beach, Calif. He finished his sixteen years in the US Navy as a Commander at Jacksonville Naval Hospital, Florida. Dr. Case then went on to private practice in Naples, Florida and later to Greensboro, N.C. where he was an orthopedic surgeon for UNC Healthcare.
Dr. Case’s approach to orthopedics has always been conservative. He has offered surgery immediately when the condition requires immediate surgical intervention. But in most cases, he has offered surgery to his patients when non-operative measures have failed.
Dr. Case opened this practice because he believes in the power of these scientifically backed advanced biological treatments. He believes there are too many patients being pushed too early to the operating room and not being offered powerful non-operative alternative treatments with an outstanding track record of success. He is a firm believer in avoiding surgery when possible, which could result in prolonged recovery and other potential complications. He understands the potential risks of delaying surgery and will not recommend alternative treatments if he believes they could compromise future surgical options.
